Michael Jackson Gets Religion
filed in Daily Buzz News on Sep.09, 2009
After the fan suicides, baby dangling tributes and DNA embedded gemstones, the canonization of Michael Jackson continues. On Friday, The Cult of Michael Jackson opens a religious retreat for followers to worship “The Gospel,” non-scandalous pieces of the pop star’s life and music reinterpreted into scripture. King of Pop painter-turned-cult leader Rusel Parish designed the “spiritual haven” and believes everyone would be better off taking Jackson’s words to heart: “Imagine the strife and wars we could solve if we just straightened up and boogied down.” The Chapel opens at 6 pm on September 11th through October at 168 North 6th Street in Williamsburg.
