Went to Wooly Mammoth tonight with my friend Andrew to see Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, which I highly recommend.  They were brilliant.   Meanwhile, most of the day was spent in retrospection, which I suppose I should have saved for tomorrow, New Year’s Eve.  I had two big realizations:  1) 2009 was the BEST YEAR EVER and 2) at the beginning of ‘09 I hadn’t a clue about any of the things that were to unfold and make it the BEST YEAR EVER.  Hmmm.  I have no clue what’s coming down the pike for this new year, either.  I bet it’s gonna rock.

Breakfast:  lemon water; oats, almonds, apples, cranberries, arugula, cinnamon, ginger, water; traditional medicinals chai.  Okay, if the new year is going to rock I’m gonna be having something different for breakfast.  Like french toast.  Or a flippin’ muffin, for gawd’s sake.

Lunch:  miso soup with salmon; kale, avocado, sweet potato, dulse; wheat bread; water.  I’m so very clever.  I brought a bowl from home with salmon and miso paste in it, and added hot water from my tea kettle. Viola, soup.

Snack:   pepitas, cranberries; 86% cacao chocolate.  Yum.  I love dark chocolate.  Side note:   I love Movitz, too.  Chocolate on the tongue, Movitz in my ears, my whole head was happy.

Dinner:  meatballs in sauce; sweet potatoes; broccoli; rice; water.  Swang through Teaism before the show, tried a different bento box.  I wanted miso tahini on those sweet potatoes and ginger sauce on that broccoli.  Where was my miso tahini and my ginger sauce, I ask you?  Where, indeed.
