Twitter Thursdays: News from MBA Programs

Welcome to this week’s Twitter Thursdays, our weekly roundup of the news and events reported by top MBA programs on Twitter. If you’re not already following Clear Admit on Twitter, make sure to do so. Tracy in the Texas McCombs Communications office provided a list of matriculating tweeters for individuals entering the school in the fall. Over on the coast, the Assistant Dean of UCLA Anderson MBA Admissions & Financial Aid Mae Jennifer Shores reminded perspective applicants to get started on their school research. Back in Boston, MIT Sloan highlighted a number of endeavors currently being pursued by its faculty members. Meanwhile, Columbia Business School highlighted a new fellowship – the AdR Fellowship – intended to promote the bridging of cultures through social enterprise. Additionally, Stanford GSB announced its plans to host a free webinar, scheduled for July 13th, and Johnson School highlighted a student blog, written by Vishal Rao ‘11, who is currently holding a microfinance internship in Mahbubnagar, Southern India.
Across the Atlantic, Cambridge / Judge offered current students a chance to explain why they chose to attend the program. In a similar vein, Yale SOM students tweeted their opinions on what makes the program unique. The University of Virginia provided updates concerning on-going construction, while Wharton commented on the record-high temperatures faced by the region during the past week. Finally, Rich Lyons, the Dean of the Haas School of Business, highlighted The Economist’s mention of Berkeley-Haas’ curriculum.
